KING SUEN is pleased that CHUN and YIM have become amicable with each other. QUEEN DOWDAGER is overjoyed at the imperial sorcerer's prediction that CHUN is pregnant with a boy. KING SUEN complains to YING and other officials as they chill out together. YING's mother, MADAME AN-CHU, has fallen ill. WAI visits her. She deduces from the large quantity of cosmetics YING has bought that he is in love with someone. The fact that YIM has woken up from her coma and that CHUN is pregnant with a boy worry LORD SHUN YEUNG.
