Ashamed of what SHIU has done, NING decides to break her pledge. Unexpectedly, SHIU sends her a letter noticing her his intention to break off the engagement. Apparently, SHIU cannot bear losing face and humiliating the whole royal family. CHI tries to persuade NING to get back to CHUNG. NING pretends to be rude to scare her off. Her real purpose is to let CHI know that she has given CHUNG up totally, so that they could be together. NING realizes how much SHIU loves her when she sees how CHI loves CHUNG.
