NHK的第74部晨间剧。有森樱子（宫崎葵饰演）是一位顽强又上进的姑娘。身处日本现代历史中最动荡的昭和时期，从初年间人人力争上游、到侵略战争令国民狂热，直至整个国家和民族被拖入百业凋敝、苟延残喘的泥潭，不安分的樱子度过了波澜壮阔的一生。陪伴她的就是对音乐坚持不懈的梦想。为之提供舞台的是两处截然不同的场所：古风犹存的爱知县冈崎市和时髦而杂乱、艺术家汇聚的东京下宿。 [1] 主角樱子是个热爱音乐活泼的女孩子，樱子强烈希望能用喜欢的钢琴来让自己功成名就，但是却因为父亲突然去世和战争的缘故使得她不得不放弃这个梦想。但是樱子和许多人相遇后获得相当多的鼓励，因此又让她燃起了对音乐的热情，而“音乐”也是这部戏当中重要的主题。而另一个主题则是“家族”。突然失去家中支柱的四个兄弟姐妹，在战火中开朗的互相扶持的姿态能给现代家族感薄弱的人们带来莫大的感动吧。故事发生在德川家康的诞生地，也就是以八丁味噌的产地而闻名的爱知县冈崎市
