A Rejtély Rt. csapata belefáradt a szörnyvadászatba. Egy kis szellemmentes kikapcsolódásra, nyaralásra vágynak. Hogy, hogy nem, egy Vámpírfesztiválon kötnek ki, ahol Vilma örömére találkoznak néhány vámpírkönyv szerzőjével, a legidősebb Van Helsinggel. Az öreg megmutatja a bandának a vámpírmúzeumot, ahol a legrégibb "élő" vámpírt, Valdroniát őrzik egy üvegkoporsóban. Ezután megnéznek egy előadást, melynek előadói az ősi varázsdalukkal akaratlanul is feltámasztják Valdroniát. A vámpír ámokfutásba kezd, ráadásul szemet vet Dianára.
