Titkok, múmiák, kalandok, Vác. A Fehérek templomának falait munkások renoválják,amikor egyszer csak beomlik a fal. A tátongó lyukon keresztül egy ódon lépcsőn át a titkok kamrájába vezet az út. A helyi plébános és a muzeológusok mernek csak lemenni a rég elfeledett kriptába, ahol 264 poros és pókhálós koporsót rejt a mélység. A legnagyobb megdöbbenést az okozza, amikor kinyitják a koporsókat és nem csontvázakat, hanem múmiákat találnak. Díszes ruhákban, csipkés szemfedővel csecsemőket, nőket, férfiakat. A történet itt válik fikcióvá. A kutatók kalandos történetekbe keverednek, a film nézői pedig hol a XVIII. századi Vácott, hol pedig a XXI. században találják magukat.
